Character Terms and Conditions and Nix Guidelines

By Purchasing a character from me, you are automatically agreeing to my terms and conditions.
These are to ensure things are fair for me and for you.

1. Do not upload my artwork on your account as a submission
(deviation or otherwise) without my permission.
Once your character is paid for, I often provide you with a png (transparent-background) image. You are allowed to use the png image on your front page & charahub as long as you credit the art and design to me and include a link to my page. For any other uses (eg reference sheet) please ask my permission.

2. If you do not pay for your the character, I will resell it.
If you agree to purchase an adoptable or character from me, and either do not pay for itor fail to pay by a date we've agreed on, I will auction it off to someone else and you will be unable to buy it back from me.  If you choose not to pay on purpose, or fail to pay multiple times, I may blacklist you from buying my adoptables in future. (If you are simply having complications with payment but still intend to pay, please note me about it)

Again, If you need more time to pay, please let me know! I may allow more time for payment as long as you explain your situation and keep in contact with me.

3. If you break any major rules, I have the right to revoke the character at my discretion,
with or without compensation, which is also at my discretion.

Terms and Conditions for All Adoptables / Characters obtained from me

If you purchase a character, you may claim ownership of it, but the intellectual property of the character remains mine and you may not involve the character in commercial usage, such as selling merchandise of it. Any character or adoptable obtained from me legally remains my intellectual property unless I give express permission or otherwise reach an agreement in writing with the party in question.

1. All adoptables are for personal use only.** You are required to contact me if you wish to use the character in any projects of a commercial nature and must keep in contact with me.

2. Trading/Gifting: An adoptable/character you obtained from me may be traded or gifted to someone else, as long as: You link them to this rules journal, and tell me when you've traded or gifted it so I can update my character owner's list. If you no longer want a character, you obtained from me, please let me know and I will gladly accept it back from you if you choose to return it.

3. Selling: You may sell it for less than or equal to what you paid for it. You may auction them as long as a. the auction is CAPPED with an autobuy option, (the auction must not reach higher than what you paid for the character) and b. it has to be equal to or less than what you paid for the character. You need to tell me prior to selling the character so I'm informed and I can update my character owner's list.

4. Returns: Apologies, but I cannot provide refunds if you purchase a nix from me or change your mind. If I like the character a lot, I may offer a trade for another character or custom. You may return the character to me but am unable to refund you in cash or points for it. 

5. NSFW / Explicit Art Policy: I am ok with my charactera being used in nsfw or gore images, as long as they do not contain pedophillic, necrophillic, or zoophillic themes. 

**If you wish to use my character for business, in a project, or in a graphic that you plan to sell or otherwise distribute on physical or digital goods, you need to ask me and gain my consent, especially for anything involving profit to you, as they remain my intellectual property.

These terms and conditions may be changed by me at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to check them and keep yourself informed and up-to-date.

Nixten Owner's guide

These refer to both Common Nixten and Sugarnix! Now that you've got a nix or sugarnix, here are some things you can change about it:

-Give it a new name 
-Decide on its gender
-Decide on its eye colour (nix eye reference: link )
-Give it a personality! Are they well-behaved, or do they like to steal? Do they have a favourite type of item they collect?

-Add or change markings: Nix markings are somewhat naturalistic and can be spots, stripes, flecks, or splotchy stripes. No obvious symbols or shapes, eg. stars, peace signs, etc, are allowed, however you can "suggest" shapes with naturalistic markings, eg a star-like shape made up of spots- I will have to check and approve this if you've designed it. Most animal markings that exist in the real world are ok to use on nix.

-Tweaking fur colours: Only minor changes to colour can be made, and you must keep the original color scheme in tact. You can add or subtract a colour or two (eg, a blue-and-white nix, and you add pink markings) You can also add as many shades of a colour as you like, (eg a dark green and blue nix, you add light green and light blue markings) Cream or white markings can be added to any nix as you like.
